Mother & Baby Massage Session - Part 1 (babies less than 3 months)
During a Mother & Baby Massage Session, we are looking at containment and easing your baby into relaxing into his/her new environment. Babies, especially in the first few weeks of life, are overstimulated by their environment and the amount of handling that takes place as well as the immature bodily systems. We personally do not advise mothers with babies in the first 3 months a programme that entails a full body routine; we instead devise a programme that will be tailored to your babies’ individual needs.
The focus at this stage is to help your baby adjust to their new environment as well as gentle specific points on the baby for massage, containment holds, positions, and relaxation for the parent/caregiver and the importance of this. The session is split between you and your baby, and lasts 60 minutes; 45 minutes Postnatal Massage for you and, a 15 minute Baby Massage. This is run in two sessions over 2 hours for more information click here to make a booking please go through to our contact us page
