Indian Head Massage
Indian Head Massage derives from an Ayurvedic healing system that originated in India. The treatment helps to relax, soothe or invigorate the receiver. Massage movements are used to knead, rub and squeeze the body’s soft tissues and muscles. The treatment promotes total relaxation of the upper back, neck, head and face as increased blood circulation is moved to the brain which means more oxygen is delivered. This helps to reduce mental fatigue and improves concentration.
Indian Head Massage also works to relieve stiffness in the neck and shoulders; as toxins and other waste are moved throughout the Lymphatic System which aids with detoxification of the body. The treatment also promotes the bodies natural brain chemicals, Endorphins, which create feelings of contentment and happiness. The treatment can be carried out with no oil so the removal of clothes is not necessary. Alternatively, if you prefer to experience the treatment with natural plant oils such as Coconut, Almond or Grape Seed this will enhance the benefits of the treatment. Clients are seated for the duration of the treatment.
