Steps Therapy for your Perinatal Counselling Needs

Introducing a sanctuary for Mothers & Fathers and individuals comfronting perinatal mood disorders within a safe and nurturing space. I understand the overwhelming and challenging nature of motherhood and parenthood and acknowledge the rollercoaster of emotions that often accompany this journey. You may find yourself:

  • Feeling Overwhelmed or Anxious during Pregnancy or Early Parenthood

  • Being Overly Worried or Having Scary Thoughts about Motherhood

  •  Coping with Intrusive Thoughts or Rituals related to Motherhood

  •  Dealing with Sadness or the Baby Blues after Birth

  •  Adapting to Changes in Relationships with Partner, Family, or Friends

  •  Struggling with Body Image and Self-Confidence after Childbirth

  •  Finding Your Identity as a New Mother or Parent

  •  Processing Traumatic Experiences during Pregnancy or Birth

  •  Navigating Grief and Loss Related to Parenthood

  •  Managing the Challenges of Parenting

  •  Coping with Feelings of Loneliness or Isolation

  •  Establishing Self-Care Practices and Setting Personal Boundaries

  •  Overcoming Feelings of Guilt or Shame about Motherhood or Parenthood

  • Balancing Work and Parenting Responsibilities

To ensure that we are the right fit for each other, I offer a one-off discovery session where we can get to know each other and discuss your expectations and concerns. If we decide to move forward, I typically recommend a minimum of six sessions to start your journey. At the six-session mark, we will collaboratively review our progress and determine whether to continue with more sessions or conclude our work together.

Face to Face and Online Counselling

I offer face-to-face counselling support in my cosy, comfortable, relaxing consultation space in Bexleyheath as well as my Walk & Talk Therapy.  I also offer online sessions. I understand the importance of flexibility to cater to your specific needs, so I offer both daytime and evening sessions. I have limited open spaces at present.

I prioritise evidence-based techniques and compassionate guidance to empower you on your path to recovery. With expertise in Integrative Creative Counselling Techniques, I embrace a holistic approach that combines traditional counselling methods with creative and expressive therapies. This approach allows for a deeper exploration of your emotions, thoughts, and experiences, fostering healing and personal growth.

I am a registered member of The British association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) I adhere to the Ethical Framework of the BACP which helps to keep both client and counsellor safe.

I also hold therapeutic insurance and am DBS checked.
